Retail Therapy

What was suppose to be just lunch and grocery shopping ended up to be a full day affair (nearly) at Chadstone. Spent so much. ARGHHHH. But so far I'm happy with my purchases. Managed to get a cd(Keri Noble's Fearless-so far so good!) for 10 dollars which is considered cheap over here. Although, it's probably because the album is 2 years old. And I was wondering why it wouldn't play on windows media player and plays with some funny player. So I just happen to glance at the back of the cd to find this: "This disc contains Copy Control technology." Oh well. It still works on iTunes so no biggie for me.

Bought a purse cos I think my current one is jstarting to fall apart. Well sort of. Am very happy cos instead of costing $60 it was $40!Got 2 tops, one handbag and other small things. So in the end, I'm happy but my feet hurt and my bank balance is considerably less.

Blogger is down at this very moment. I'll just have to post this later.

It's 2.28am and am still awake. What happened was that, I was suppose to sleep a while ago, but I was hungry so I ate something and it would be piggish of me to go to bed now. Can't sleep in tomorrow cos we're playing badminton. And I think after that we're going karaoking again! And on Sunday night we're going to watch Stephen K Amos at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Should be good.

I just realised that I actually got disconnected from the internet. So it's not blogger's fault. Geeze. Stupid ISP!

Alright. I think I shall go try to sleep. Maybe the rain will help me fall asleep.

I can't believe it's Friday already! There goes my holiday but it's been crazy but pretty fun so far. Sleeping late, waking up early, walking too much, yada yada yada but most importantly spending time with friends! Can't believe we're halfway through the semester already. Gulp.

Let's see. In a span of one week, we watched 5 movies: She's the man (which was good. hillarious. entertaining.), the 3 movies from the marathon and Ice Age 2 the other day! Ice Age 2 was good. Go watch it!

After Ice Age on Tuesday, we followed Amy to the Alfred Hospital near the city cos she had to go to the library there. Then we managed to find our way to Smith Street before it closed. After that we went to Lygon for dinner and Koko Black! Thanks Amy for the chocs and err Yin, it's been a week and I haven't finished one more bunny yet! Will post up pics of them later. A bit lazy now. Hee.

Wednesday came along. Went to the city. Walked around but came back empty handed. Hmph. I wanted to get a new handbag cos I tore the zip. Whoops. It wasn't my fault! Amy made me mad so yea. Hehehe. No lar. It was about time it tore anyway. Overall, it was a very unsatisfying trip, shopping wise.

Since I was unsatisfied I dragged Yin to Chadstone. Finally found a bag. Yay. As I was getting comfortable, more like dozing off, on Yin's bed, we or rather they suddenly decided to go out for dinner with Amy's friend. Had to much too eat so we ended up walking around in Chadstone(again!) for a while only since the shops were already closing.

It's no wonder that my feet are aching. It's been raining the whole morning. Nice. I wonder if the girls are still asleep. Maybe not Syl since she's always the first to wake up and I saw her plant (called pretty) outside. We're going karaoking! It is gonna pour!

I can't believe my mom is more happening than me! Some friends of hers are going gaga over Korean dramas at the moment. So she told me bout this show called, "My Lovely Sam-soon" that's showing back home and how one of the guy is good looking but none of her friends want to watch it cos the main actress is not pretty. :S Well, I'm watching it too cos I found out that Syl has it and I borrowed it. I shall never watch it with Amy ever again cos she just makes too much noise. Hmph. Ok. I'm going to watch the next episode. Tata!

Ish. Now only Yin comes online.

Ooh look. It's 6.30 a.m. now. I look out the window, and I see that the sun is rising. Nice.
So why on earth am I awake now when I have this whole week off? Because, at the very last minute, we decided to go for the movie marathon. It's 3 movies from 10.30pm onwards for a price of AUD19. So at 11.00 p.m., we decided to catch the one that starts at 11.50.
It was an interesting experience although I only enjoyed one movie (guess which one is it: eight below, scary movie 4 and the shaggy dog).
So we got back bout an hour ago and since it's way past my bedtime, I wasn't sleepy. So I thought it would be a good idea to do some studying. Maybe it was the lil meal I had. Or the warm water. Or being in my pyjammas. Oh well, I'll just blame it on the heater. I'm actually getting a bit sleepy now. I opened my book just now, "read" through some pages and finally gave up, since nothing was making sense.
Although I do feel slightly tired, I don't think I'll be able to fall asleep. And I can't study. And it's 8 degrees now. This is just such a totally random post.
I actually had some stuff to blog about during the past week. But didn't get round to it cos I was sick and spent many hours of the day in bed. And now, I can't remember what it was. I think I hit my head one too many times. A total of 2 last night.
What to do what to do. Oh my. It's bright already. It's never this bright at home during this hour. Well at least it wasn't 4 years ago where I spent every weekday waiting for the bus at 6.45 a.m.
I don't know what I'm going to do. Can't read, can't sleep, there's nothing to watch on tv. I know. I'll just sing and hopefully no one can hear me and I hope my neighbour is not in.
Good Morning!!!

The Thread In Our Lives

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

"What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning. "There is a Mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr. Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me.I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The pig sympathised, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured, you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with the farmer around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called Life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

REMEMBER: EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSONS TAPESTRY; OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

I have a sinking feeling that I'm falling sick. But I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it's here for only a day. Nose has been feeling funny all day. Been sneezing more often than usual and it's slightly itchy as well.

I blame the weather. It was really chilly yesterday,9 degrees when I had to drag myself to uni at 5 something for my test(which was really terrible which means I'm in deep shit). A couple of days ago it was warm. The drastic change in weather is never good.

I'm gonna go snuggle in bed with Nicholas Spark's 'True Believer' and Honey bear.
Ugh. It's such a torture when you want to sneeze but you can't.
