CNY is a coming soon

I'm done with spring cleaning for the year. HAH. It's only like 26 days into the year and I have already declared no spring cleaning! It's just too darn tiring.

Went to IKEA/IKANO today. Mom was looking at some pussy willows. In case you're wondering what they are, here's a pic.

We scouted around the 2 other florist shops before getting 2 bundles at IKEA. Because they were cheaper. But there's always a catch isn't it? When you look at the ones in IKEA, you don't see the fuzzy looking thingys. They're buds. And all you have to do is just wait for them to fall out. OR. You could just pull it out and ta-da. You'll get the furry lil' fellas. It ain't as easy as it sounds. Not when you have so many to pull out. Sure, it can be fun. But it's tiring. And not to mention that if you pull to hard, the whole entire thing comes out and so you're plant will be a bit bald.

It's almost 9.30. I'm waiting to watch Malaysia's Most Beautiful. Gosh. I hope that girl doesn't win.

We haven't had rain for a while and when it rained last evening, it caused this massive jam everywhere. Gosh. We were suppose to be somewhere for dinner at 7.30pm but only reached at 8pm. Ah well...

Am a lil tired at the moment. There's something wrong with my tummy. That means I can't drink chocolate milk. Dang.

As usual, I have nothing to blog about. Finally met up with Jenny, Sue Ling and Winky after so long. Had loads of fun and yummy desserts at Delicious.

Something weird happened the other day. My mom received a call on her mobile from my brother's old Digi number. When she answered, there was no one. The weird thing is that number is expired and goodness knows where my brother has left it but it definitely not in use anymore. Ish. Then her phone rang a second time. Same number. So I suggested that she called the number back and see what happens. We heard people talking in the background in Malay. That was just freaky. At least she's not getting calls from that number anymore.

I think it's time for me to bathe. Ta.

Dentist

Yay! No more cleaning my room until someone makes a fuss about it being cluttered or until I myself can't stand it. When I proudly told my brother and mom that I had cleared my cupboard, they opened it and commented "How is that called clearing your cupboard?!" Whoops. Well at least it's not as cluttered as before and I think they are threatening to throw out my soft toys, which are what's causing my cupboard to be cluttered. No way. Hands off mah toys!

Went for my semi annual dental checkup this morning with my brother and for once, my teeth are in better shape than his! We had Nando's for lunch without my parents since dad went to Malacca and mom is having some fancy lunch buffet at Renaissance Hotel (without me!) with her ladies group. The menu here is limited compared to the one in Australia. You know how they have diff flavours from Lemon & Herb to Peri-peri, Hot Peri-peri and so on? Well we both had Lemon & Herb and my brother was quite sad when he saw the lil' flag they stuck on his chicken. It read "Lemon & Herb" on one side and "Not so brave" (or something along those lines) on the other. HAH!

Been eating too much since I got back and have yet to go for morning walks, since I only wake up at 10 each morning. Tee hee hee. I'm so lazy.

Darn. I'm craving for waffles with ice cream. Darn. And cake too.

McDonalds: Feed Your Inner Child

I love this ad! It's being shown in Australia and I think it's really cute although some may beg to differ. Plus, the song is so adorable!!! Seeing it makes me feel like a kid all over again.

Movie World

The day after we went to Sea World, we went to Movie World.

The first thing we did (other than heading to the toilets) was to experience "Shrek in 4D". Yep. Goodbye 3D, hello 4D. The only difference between the two is that you feel as though you really are in the movie. The chair moves, you get sprayed with water etc. We really enjoyed it that we had to go a second time. Fine, the second time we went was because it was too freaking hot outside and we needed to cool down(not by the water that sprays out but by the air con, silly).

They had a few shows going on but the only ones worth mentioning are the errm "Looney Tunes whatchamacallit" and "The Police Academy Show". Actually, the looney tunes thingy was kinda childish but I wanted to talk about it because my brother was embarassed to be there. *snigger*

BUT. The Police Academy Show. WOW-wee. It was awesome. The stunts. The cast. Everything.

That's "someone" flying out of the shack after it was lit with a kaboom kaboom! Btw, has anyone watched the Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper?

Sometime in the afternoon there was a parade. Cars filled with the WB characters were going up and down the street. I especially likes Sylvester's car. Cute.

And look what we have here...

Brisbane and Gold Coast

Happy New Year to everyone! So, how about those new year resolutions? I can't be bothered to come up with any because I have this feeling that I will never ever stick to it. Does anyone have any to share?

I was suppose to write this entry last year. Whoa. That feels. So long ago. Ok, I'm getting a bit off track at the moment. So let me explain why I took so long to post up more pics. It's quite simple actually. Everytime I sit my ass down on the computer either my mom, dad or brother will call me to do some funny thing. I'm suppose to clean up my room, help my mom spring clean the house, i.e. take down the curtains for washing etc., drive my dad around to practise my driving and what not. I'm soooo tired of hearing my name now.

I cleared one of my cupboards the other day. Found my old school uniform, some weird dresses my mom made me wear and my mom's clothes. YES. The whole reason why my mom pushed me to clear that cupboard was so that she could keep her clothes in it. In MY cupboard. She used to put some in my brother's but since he's now back for good, it'll be in MY cupboard till further notice.

I went through my desk drawer today. Why oh why do I have so many colour pencils, marker pens, pens, pencils, erasers and pencil boxes?! Because, I'm a karang guni. I don't have the heart to throw away my stuff so I keep most of them. I was tempted to keep my broken pencil box because it brings back so many memories but my brother took one look and it and commanded that I threw it away. BAH.

Alright, enough of the spring cleaning stories. I can't believe I still have so many cupboards and drawers to go through.

Brisbane. The capital of Queensland. Queensland is also known as the Sunshine State for the right reasons. It was positively scorching over there. We were there for 5 nights and only once did it rain. Thank goodness for the air-conditioned motel room. The first morning we were there, my mom woke up with a jolt because it was so bright (even with the curtains but that didn't wake me up eventhough I was sleeping nearer to them) and she thought it was already late in the morning. Lo and behold, it was only 5.30am. We took our own time to get ready cos it was a Sunday and we didn't have a plan yet. In the end we went to Eagle Street Market in the city. It's just like Vic Mart in Melb just that it's much much smaller and it's by the river. There's a river in the city and they have ferries to transport people from one place to another. It was way too hot for us so after buying some fruits we went for a little drive around the city. Got lost. Tried to find Chinatown and got lost yet again and ended up in some mall. Yipee! Air-con! Didn't spend much time there since the shops close at 4pm and we had to go to church anyway. It was hard finding one near where we stayed because mass at the closest church is at 7.30 am!

The next day, we went to Sea World! It's about an hour's drive from Brisbane.

Sorry for the different sized pictures but the pictures were from two separate cameras and I must have been dreaming when I was resizing them.

Anyway, that night we went to Chinatown in the city for dinner. My dad was certain that Chinatown was more than just a few shops and proceeded to lead us by foot around the corner. But of course, Chinatown ended right there. It was so small! And a little disappointing as well. Oh well, at least the food was good!

Next entry: Warner Bros. Movie World!
