Woo Hoo!

HALLELUJAH! Thank GOD.
Yeaps. I passed all of my units! *phew* Thanks guys, for errr, crossing your fingers with me too!
This semester has been by far the hardest I've worked and I'm happy with the results. One more semester to go. But my pendorong(motivator) won't be there with me!
Congratulations to all who are graduating!
For the past 2 hours, I was just waiting online patiently for the results to be out. Tried to get rid of my antsy feeling by chatting with Felicia. And now, that it's over and done with, I can finally sleep well tonight. No more sweaty palms (though I think it's due to the weather). No more hyperventilating. No more heart palpitations. No more screaming at the mention of the word results.
What a relief.

It's Just Another Day...

I think I'm damaging my eyes from tv overload. Not to mention the many hours of internet surfing and reading. Yipes.

Yesterday I found this movie on my computer. I had totally forgotten that I had it last year and since Christmas is coming, it just puts me in the mood for that kinda movie. Christmas with the Kranks. It's quite funny although I haven't caught the ending yet. I'm savouring it. Hahaha
Every year, around this time, I'd be digging through the cupboards back home to find my copy of Jack Frost. I just love this movie. It's so heartwarming. Sadly, I'd probably not be doing that this year cos by the time I get home on the 20th, we'd probably be spending the few days leading up to Christmas to do our Christmas shopping since I'm the one who usually does it with my mom.
Although results are officially out on Thursday, it's usually published the evening before. So yeaps. Tomorrow's D-day. I'm so terrified. Eeeks. *fingers crossed*

One word: Bored.

Yep. I'm bored. BORED.
I was reading Adeline Yen Mah's Chinese Cinderella but stopped. What is it with these books that keep making me emotional, thus making me tear!
Well, at least tonight there are loads to watch on tv. Johnny English (I've watched this many many times and still find it amusing and entertaining), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and the World Gymnastics. The only problem is that they overlap each other i.e. all 3 shows are being aired on different channels.
And I'm going to the city to shop tomorrow! YAY! Something to do.
As for the rest of the week, I'll just ponder over what to cook and the dreadful results day.
Then it's Harry Potter and the Goble of Fire during the weekend, and then a couple of days later my parents will be here!

The weather's wonderful today. It's currently 15 degrees. This is our kinda weather, Hui Yin.

I'm loving the latest Australian Idol's single, Maybe Tonight.
Every chapter ends
Before the right one can begin again
In this story of ours

And maybe tonight
Maybe I'll fall
Maybe he'll crash through my walls
Maybe at lastLove will come back
And take me deep into it's arms
Maybe the heart that comes apart
Finally mends
Maybe tonight I'll finally learn to love again

Now, that's a lot of maybes.
Enjoy your weekend people!

Ah HAH!

I knew it! I always listen to Drops of Jupiter by Train but never really knew the lyrics.
I always hear these few words but I can never be sure if what I heard was right:
deep-fried chicken
best soy latte

Turns out that I'm so right!

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me

And just for the record, I'm not always thinking bout food ok.

Aaahhh

As you can see, I was too bored.
How's my new skin?
Whadaya think?
Don't be shy...Do comment please! :)

I want to curl up in bed whilst reading my book but it's a bit too hot today and I think I spent too much time on the bed yesterday already. And besides, the book is naughty. It keeps making me tear. Damn you, Ps. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern.

Disney's The Lion King

Went for The Lion King musical last night. It was fantastic but there were a few boring bits here and there. It was really colourful and I enjoyed the music. Especially loved the opening song "Circle of Life".

It didn't really matter that we were seated at the back row, we could still see what's going on except that we couldn't really make out some of the animals, not that it really mattered.

As the show progressed on, I was wondering if Timon and Pumbaa would ever show up and they did eventually. They were hillarious! So was Zazu the bird.

I have no idea why the Timon guy is green in colour.

Reached back home at 12 something in the morning and had to wake up at 6 something because Amy's flight was in the morning and the bus was coming at 7 am. And yeah, I think the bus was suppose to be at 7.15 like you thought. Luckily we were early and you had both of us to help you with your luggage. Imagine. I don't know how you'd be able to lug ur suitcases up!

Watched some cartoons on tv when I got back before falling asleep. So. What shall I do today?

Let me enjoy my holidays!

ARGHHHH!
I've been trying to forget bout the day results will be out and I was actually successful in doing so until my friend mentioned that she can't wait for 1st of Dec. I asked why, thinking because Harry Potter will be out on that day but noooooooooooooo. She just can't wait for her results.
And today, my dad had to ask me when my results will be out.
AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.
I just realised that it will be out end of next week.

Bowling

Wahahaha. I managed to kill that unfortunate fly in the end. As usual Amy disapproved of my actions claiming that it is oh so innocent and was just minding it's own business. Would you rather have it flying all around my room at night? Especially when I'm sleeping?!
Anywho...I went bowling yesterday! It was a bit expensive compared to back home but I should never try to convert everything back into MYR.
Halfway through, this whole bunch of kids came to play too! They were so adorable! And it was unfair cos they had the gutter shield thingy. Hmph.
So Lynn, where does it hurt? I woke up this morning with both my left thigh and left butt being sore. I also somehow managed to get a blue-black on my left foot. Ooh. And my back is aching a bit too. And it's not cos I'm old!
I keep thinking that I'm free the whole of next week until I remembered that I have stuff to do. Damn the brain. It's not working properly during the holidays.
I shall go rest in bed and finish reading Amy Tan's The Joy Luck Club. Stories in this book is written from 7 people's perspective. I'm now confused over what events actually happened to whom. It's all mixed up in my head. And that's the way I like it.
Have a good weekend!

Come out come out wherever you are...

Just because I open my door for a teeny weeny moment does not mean that it's an invitation for you to come flying in.
3 flies came flying into my room just now.
I managed to kill 2 by the window and I thought I had already whacked the daylights out of the 3rd one but apparently not since I see one buzzing all over my room.
Stupid thing. How come it's flying around so fast. By the time I reach for my newspaper I'd already lost track of where it has flown to.
%$@!#^!
You are so dead.
And it's at times like these only do I get to really mean what I say:
"Shoo fly. Don't bother me."

To Yin and Syl

I have decided to follow suit and instead of writing you both emails cos no one replied me. Hmph.
Yes Yin. Like I told you just now my body is still aching in every possible way. And excuuuuuse me but who's the one who always said that she's bored?!

Shopping: moolah is decreasing and I'm aching so it's not fun to go shopping
Knit: I don't knit. You know that!
Movies: arlow aunty. It's Australia. Harry Potter's only coming out on the 1st of Dec. And there's no other movies that looks nice. And you know, it's nice watching movies with you.
Despo Housewives: Slowly savouring it...I watched one epi today though. bloody funny!
Grey's: have to wait for mondayssss
House: Haven't touched any of the episodes yet.
And as for Dimuthu, I do not want to meet him or even give him a good thwacking though that sounds interesting.
Syl, I know you're probably in China (remember not to drink so much water) or somewhere. Nenek, how come you never reply my email? Oh and one more thing, "Go and bathe!" :p
Yes yes, I know you mish me lar! Wahaha

Parents

Parents worry too much. It's just in their nature to do so. They worry about their kids, wondering whether they're eating, sleeping and living properly. Plus, they worry bout their parents. Wondering if they're lonely, healthy or happy.
When you don't call often enough, they get worried. When you do, they tell you to go and study or comment that you just called yesterday. Right. That is just what you need to hear.
When you're out, they tell you not to spend so much time outside. When you're home, they wonder why you're not out somewhere instead of rotting away at home.
When I tell my dad my bank balance from time to time, he asks why I spend so little. When I ask for more money, he wonders where it all went to.
When they get more grey hair, they blame it on you because their reasoning is that us kids make them worry and give them so much stress.
Sigh. This is what happens when I have too much time on my hand. I think about things like this.
Now I know how my mom feels. Being cooped up at home for a few weeks. Gosh, it hasn't even been a day yet since Hui Yin and Syl left! BOOO. Come back and entertain me. Amy is busy sleeping away. I need someone to irritate.
Oooh. There's advance screenings of Corpse Bride this weekend.

It's been a long day

I'm so tired.
Was out the whole day and had this horrendous trip back home in the bus.
It was so full that we had to stand.
My feet, not to mention my arms, are aching thanks to the funny exercises I had to do to prevent myself from falling over and knocking someone off their seat.
Also, I think 2 girls had front row seats to my butt. So yea...
It was raining the whole day. Spring is just too weird in Melbourne. One day it's freaking hot and the next it will be windy, cold and rainy.
I read this in some mag from a pharmacy:
"Research in Germany found that people who juggled for 10 minutes a day for 3 months increased their brain size by 3%."
Hah. I'm so gonna start juggling now. Errr, make that tomorrow.

Done

Sooooooo...

The exams are over for me. So what should I do for the next 3 and a half months?

Am currently reading Pride & Prejudice, thanks to the girls. It's really confusing sometimes to tell what they're really talking about. But it's good so far.

"Pride is a very common failing. By all that I have ever read, I am convinced that it is very common indeed, that human nautre is particularly prone to it, and that there are very few of us who do not cherish a feeling of self-complaceny on the score of some quality or other, real or imaginary. Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonimously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us."

But my most favourite line so far has got to be:

"Keep your breath to cool your porridge."
